Plugins from version 5.0 to 6.1 do not work correctly (no sound when playing on WMP 12 (Win 8.1 Ent 64-bit) with ASIO E-MU 0404 PCI), only plugin version 4.4 works.

Thank you for your interest in ASIOWmpPlg. It has been many years since I
stopped using it. Almost all my listening now happens on JRiver MediaCenter, https://jriver.com/, a far better product than WMP can even hope to be.
Almost all material I use is sourced from sites like HDTRACK, and is of true
native HiRes quality, which obviates the need in sample rate doubling. I did
write another command line utility for such conversion, see https://github.com/levmin/SRDoubler. I plan to use it with some music that
has high sentimental value for me but isn't available in HiRes. I will play
the output of that utility in JRiver Media Center as well.
Windows 10 is slowly but surely approaching the end of support, and
Microsoft encourages their user base to transition to Windows 11. I don't
remember the last time I used Windows 8, and see no reason whatsoever for
somebody to used it at this time.
