So far, I've been modifying asio/src/examples/echo/blocking_udp_echo_server.cpp and running make in the asio directory so it recompiles. I have little clue about make files because I always used IDE's as a crutch. Could someone tell me the command line arguments for building asio/src/examples/echo/blocking_udp_echo_server.cpp ? The reason I need to do this is that I have the command line arguments to compile an example with a thread. I want to add threaded functionality to blocking_udp_echo_server.cpp to see what I can do on the side while one thread waits for connections. I can't figure out how to g++ it. If I want to g++ a threaded program, I use: g++ -I /home/jim/Desktop/boost2/prefix/include/boost-1_34/ -L/home/jim/Desktop/boost2/prefix/lib -lboost_thread-gcc41-mt-d-1_34 helloworld.cpp Then I type: export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/jim/Desktop/boost2/prefix/lib And I can run a threaded executable. Any help is appreciated. I think once I can build a threaded server, I'll be off to the races coding up my P2P application. --------------------------------- Get the Yahoo! toolbar and be alerted to new email wherever you're surfing. |
