Asemon_Report Main page

In your browser, when you call "asemon_report.php" you should get the main page looking like :

When connected to the "Archive server", choose the type of server you want to analyze. Depending on the type of server you can then choose a type of metrics to report.

You can use "quick setup period" to populate "From" and "To" fields and then edit these two fields to refine your analyzed period. Note : the date's format is Month/Day/year.

Remark : be carefull when choosing a "large" analyzed period (ex. one week or more) because it can be take a lot of time to compute summaries and generate graphs du to the amount of data to analyze in the Archive Database. Try first with a short period (ex. one day)

Metrics for ASE

1. Summary (ASE)
   Summary info about general counters of ASE (CPU, IO, deadlocks, locks, devices, caches, repagents, ...)
2. Statements
   Report on captured statements
3. Objects Stats
   Statistics on objects (Logical reads, physical reads , ... on tables and index)
4. Objects Cached
   Statistics on cached objects (Size in memory)
5. Process
   Statistics on captured process (CPU, IO, transactions, ... per captured process)
6. Locks
   List and detail of captured blocking situations
7. Deadlocks
   List and detail of deadlocks
8. LocksWaits
   Fine blocking analysis on objects (how long and how many waits on tables, pages, rows)
9. Procedures
   Resource consuption per stored procedure (derived from the captured statements)
10. Fragmentation
    Analysis of objects fragmentation in databases
11. Sysmon
    Equivalent (not 100 %) of Sybase sp_sysmon
12. Spinlocks
    List of all spinlocks contention in the server
13. MissStats
    For ASE V15, list of "missing statistcs" messages issued by optimizer
14. Trends
    Trend graphs of various KPI's (CPU, reads, writes, stored procs exec, key spinlocks, ...)
15. Space
    Space usage (Data and log) in every databases
16. LogsHold
    Long transactions in every databases
17. StmtCache
    Statements in statement cache (V15)
18. QPMetrics
    QPmetrics statistics (V15)
19. Devices
    Devices statistics
20. AmStats
    Statistics on asemon_logger itself
