ASED / News: Recent posts

After more than 20 years and now beeing retired I had fun to revive ASED and fixed some bugs already. Astonishing enough, the starpack still works on Win10 and Win11 :-)
ASED and it´s starpack is still based on tcltk 8.4 but does support also the development and testing for newer versions. You can choose the interpreter you want to run the code with via the settings-menu. All code will not run within the IDE but either by starting the configured tcl-interpreter or via the buildin evalServer which also should be able to run with different versions of tcltk. Of course, it´s still an old app and all help features (Tcl Tutor and Help-Documentation) have not been updated, so far. On the other hand, currently, I work on projects using tcltk 8.6 respectively that starpack and ASED works pretty well for me. ... read more
