It works fine as both stand alone and under sane for 50, 100 and 200 dpi but at 300 dpi it doesn't work correctly. As a stand alone it starts the calibration and just sits there flashing the light on the scanner about every minute. I have let it go as long as 10 minutes before killing it. As part of sane it appears to complete the calibration but when it starts the scan it just flashes the light every so often. I tried both color and greyscale with the same results.
I am using Redhat 6.1. I have two parallel port cards in the machine. The scanner is not daisy chained and it is on the first (378) card.
The machine has a AMD K6 2-300 chip and EPOX motherboard and the scanner is on the parallel port built into the motherborad.
Do you plan to support the higher dpi settings that the scanner supports?
I appreciate your efforts in writting this driver. With it running as part of sane and as a GIMP plugin is much better than what I was doing which was running the windows driver under wine.
Thanks,
PS: I running the 0.4 version but I had the same problem on earlier versions. If you need to get in touch with me my email address is barlowl@swbell.net
