It would be great to see as2lib compile on both MM compiler and MTASC. I will continue fixing any issues I find that stop as2lib from compiling with hopes that these changes can be added to the next release of as2lib.
So far all of my fixes are invalid types being sent or returned. Since MM compiler is much looser on type checking that MTASC this is to be expected.
Also if there is anyway I could be included as a developer of as2lib I would be willing to contribute anything else I can to the project!
Thanks

I know of some problems for the MTASC Compiler but i really prefer to see the changes done in the MTASC Compiler. The only example i know right now is that MTASC has a different interpretation of nothing returned. I think this is something that should be changed by MTASC because in "Nothing" could be more ment as "not really defined", and not as "Void". This is a problem because you cant use "Object" as Type for anything for the Flash AS Compiler. By the way: there is the Flex AS compiler for Java and one for .Net so four compilers to watch out for.
We appreciate your offer and I really dont want to reject you but we have had a lot people here that didnt do anything. Even thought i want to have a little overview so lets do the first some sessions via mail (so I, or another member will commit it for you), this will help with the first communcation between us and to let you to still join after the first few sessions.
By the way: We have some time until the next release, Christof Haemmerle is just creating the new home page.....

Thanks for the insite into some of the potential problems with MTASC.
Your right, there are other alternatives to MTASC. I especially like the Xamlon .NET Flash Edition. Robin Debreuil has some recent news about it on his blog. Can't wait to try it out! It should be a really great product once it is released!
I will be in touch with you. Right now I have some of the as2lib code compiling on MTASC but it doesn't work :P It still compiles on MMC and works so looks like the MTASC compiler may have a bug.
Thanks for the response!
