I have been using A3D for taking length, width, and thickness measurements.
I believe a batch process is possible using the "process directory" option.
But, when I try to process multiple artifacts, it encounters an error after
processing the first artifact mesh. I have a screenshot of the log when it
encounters the error.
I tried it a second time and got the same error:
It seems to process the first mesh in the file fine, but just stops after
that first one. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
On another note, I am noticing that Artifact3-D sometimes won't open on my
laptop, giving me the following error:
Sometimes it seems to open fine, but today for example, it is giving me
this message. Has this ever been encountered before? I am using another
desktop now, but would love to have access back on my laptop. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail.
Thank you!

Hi Annie,
I hope you've been well. Thanks for letting us know about these problems. For the process directory problem, sourceforge isn't showing me the screenshot of the error sorry. It might be easiest to email it to me (antoine.muller@mail.huji.ac.il). But if it's working for one scan, but not others, it might be an issue with the files in the folder. For instance, make sure they're all 3d scan files (e.g. wrl), and make sure they're named uniformly (i.e. without puncuation like periods etc. and starting with letters rather than numbers). If you send me a screenshot of the error, I can be more specific. Maybe also send a screenshot of the folder you're trying to run 'process directory' on.
And sourceforge isn't showing or letting me download the second error either sorry, so feel free to email that to me too. If the program was working on a computer, then suddenly stopped, it may be an issue with cached files. You can find the solution to that problem in one of our closed tickets here: https://sourceforge.net/p/artifact3-d/tickets/1/#3b1b. Let me know if any of these solutions help, or email me the errors and hopefully we can work it out.
Take care,
Antoine
