Dear Pierre, there are probably many ways to change it such that it also runs on Mac. Since I have no access to MacOS, I could however not test it. The best would be probably to rewrite the entire code in python and use suitable python packages. Then it would probably run on all major OS. If I find some time I will try that. Best, Martin p.s. There are also alternative ways to download videos, for example via https://mediathekviewweb.de/ what probably also works from France for arte videos. On 2/1/20...

Thanks a lot for the link, I'll look it up but it doesn't change anything to the fact that this script is advertised as working in Chrome with TamperMonkey but when there's a warning box the script menu disappears, not a feature I think ))

Hi, the script is a shell / bash script. It is intended for use on *nix operating systems like Debian or Ubuntu which come with a shell. It requires some dependencies to be installed (wget, curl, jq). In principle it is also possible to run it on MacOSX and with some efforts on Windows, but especially the latter is maybe too complicated. But it is not a (java)script for browsers such as firefox or chrome. Unless you are on Linux, maybe it would be better if you use other software such as MediathekView...

Thanks for the swift reply, I meant to edit my ticket and add that I'm using Chrome script in TamperMonkey and as soon as I accept the warning the script menus disappear. How can I run "arte_download FR 086129-007 -t" please?

Hi Jason, that's very strange. I just tried it with arte_download FR 086129-007 -t selecting HQ & Francaise and it worked for me (see screenshot) , can you try again? Hi Renaud, I just put the fixed script on SF. I had some problems with the new jq parser, the very old one (v1.3 from 2013 in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS) does not work with "match", maybe also due to another missing lib. But after downloading and using the jq v1.6 binary from https://stedolan.github.io/jq/ it worked. The Idea is to run the first time without parameter to collect the available languages, then restart the script with parameters. Usually same parameters will be available for next downloads when dealing with séries.

Dear Renaud, thanks for the script. In a future update I might integrate as in your script some "column selection" / filter support in the script to speed up the selection and download process. Regarding the language setting this is not so super easy, since the language description changes more often, ... "Français (sous-titres)", "Français (original)", "Version française - ST sourds/mal".
