i'm slowly getting the SF site in order. done project created cvs archive imported mailing lists created preliminary 'tracker' configurations todo move web pages to project dir import mailing list archives and move list adjust arsperl.org to point to sf site finish tracker configuration test CVS head tag head as 1.82 release 1.82 what i'd like from matt/jarl is an "OK" on the cvs code. given that, i'll tag it and release it. jeff has already committed patches to it and i just want the rest of the 'dev team' to OK them. i'd also appreciate it if someone examined the SF 'tracker' stuff and see how we can best configure it to track bugs and feature requests. possibly disable the 'patches' and 'support requests' trackers. it looks like you can add trackers, and within each tracker, you can define categories and groups. this is a little problematic because we cant easily have a user submit their API version, etc. you can do something like tracker=Bugs categories=compiling, installing, usage, documentation groups=1.81, 1.82 ? but we cant force them to select an api version. so i foresee a bit of "what api are you compiling against?" "what os?" type followup questions unless we try to do something like tracker=1.81-Bugs categories=compiling, installing, usage, documentation groups=linux+5.x, linux+6.0, windows+5.x, windows+6.0 i dont know. i dont see any graceful way of having the system gather the appropriate data for us. i'm open to suggestions. once we get all of the above tasks addressed, i'll send out the 2.x plan for discussion. jeff |
