SunOS 4.1.3 Install Problems

Sorry if this has been posted before:


Do you need the gcc compiler to run the make command on step 2 of the 
ARSperl install. I am using the cc compiler, and am getting many many 
errors similar to the following. I am assuming that the compiler I am using
cannot handle the function pointer definition, but I could use any offline 
comments you can give me. 

I am running ARS 2.02 on a SunOS 4.1.3_U1 Sparc 

"ARS.c", line 67: syntax error at or near symbol *
"ARS.c", line 67: ARStatusStruct declared as parameter to non-function
