[Arsperl-users] Error while installing ARS Perl 1.93

Hi All,

Requesting your help with the installation of ARS Perl 1.93.

I am getting the following error while performing the first step ie. perl
Makefile.PL

ERROR:
Can't modify numeric lt (<) in scalar assignment at Makefile.PL line 80,
near ");"
BEGIN not safe after errors--compilation aborted at Makefile.PL line 871.
