Jerry,
Turns out my suspicions about perl 5.6.1 were unfounded. I discovered,
however, another problem which might explain the core dumps.
May I ask you to run "make test TEST_VERBOSE=1" and send the output?
Thilo

Subject: AW: AW: [Arsperl-users] Install Problem
Jerry,
thank you for your feedback. I'll try to investigate this.
Unfortunately I
cannot test it under Solaris, but I suspect it's a problem with Perl
5.6 (or
more generally pre 5.8), which I will test as soon as I find the time.
For now I'd recommend to test the real-world functionality you want to
use
it for, and if it works, start using it.
Thilo

What version of ARSperl are you using?
You might want to try the new 1.85-package (released yesterday), which
has
especially fixed some test failures and cleaned up some test warnings.
I'm
not sure if it catches all your problems, but I'd be very interested in
the
results.

Thilo Stapff
