[Arsperl-users] Build make error for XP--help

Hi,
 I try to install ARSperl1-85 on my XP, typed perl
Makefile.PL, following the instruction, then come to
the point type nmake, then I got this error:

Microsoft (R) Program Maintenance Utility   Version
6.00.8168.0
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corp 1988-1998. All rights
reserved.

makefile(942) : fatal error U1087: cannot have : and
:: dependents for same target
Stop.


Could anyone help with this? Also, where I can find a
binary download for window XP?

Does the name of your $ARSAPI directory contain a space character?

Yes, this is what in the Makefile.PL
  $ARSAPI      =3D
q{c:\Progra~1\ARSystem6_3\Arserver\Api};
