I've started to use the tool array-info to monitor the state of out software raids.
From time to time, the output changes to "Status: Logical drive is not clean, has no errors".
Normally, I'd take that to mean that the drive is currently synchronising.
As in fact the state returns to "Status: Logical drive is ok" by itself after a few hours.
The interesting thing is that at the same time aray-info says that all drives are "active synchronized".
So if they aren't syncing, what is going on then?
I can't see anything changing in /proc/mdstat, whether array-info claims that the raid is "not clean" or not.
Oh yes, and google doesn't return _any_ results for "Logical drive is not clean"…
Can you shed any light on this?
Lots of thanks in advance!
