3 months of deadly silence

It has now been almost 3 months since there was a last post on this site.

I am ashamed of it and very sorry but those were some really busy months. The last year's team disapeared since most of them graduated and took some holidays off but never restarted programming. I've been trying to work on the project almost alone but this takes tons of work and therefore a lot of time.

Those were the bad news.

The good news now:

I promise I'll try to post weekly about the ongoing of the project either here, or in my blog: http://codeache.blogspot.com/. I'll probably alter between them doing 1 post here in a week, the other on the blog on the next.

Programming on Archimedes has restarted. There is a full new team of 8 programmers (plus me) to work on Archimedes. It will take us probably another week, maybe two, to be able to launch the first stable release of Archimedes RCP (The name I gave for the new architecture) which version 0.50.0 since it's not 1.0 yet but it is a big leap. Anyway from then on, we will publish weekly unstable releases and monthly stable releases(as we used to do).

Our future work will be focused on completing the migration to the new platform using all the benefits of it (which means: adding contextual support, using update from within the software, customizing feature installs, etc...) and I hope we manage to finish it
by the version 0.52.0 or 0.54.0 at max. This should happen around the end of april so we will have about 2 months of full teamwork to add new features.

That's all for now folks!!!
