There is no option to exclude archive documents from
search area now. It's useful if some of the site materials
should be availiable _only_ by direct link (but now they
are avaliable by direct link and search).
Any kind of materials (articles, messages). They may be parts
of another materials (and it's better not to show these parts),
may be some close materials for a group of people (that
aren't users of fizteh.ru) etc.

We want to make random article content. So we can take
header from one place, body from another and footer from the
third place. Well, but we don't want to make footer, body and
header avaliable by the search, only by the article we place
these parts to.
The other example: we have some forms, that are opened in
new customized windows (as design elements), but there are
no direct links to these forms on the site, and there is some

There is no content but it can be (some explanation or
privacy statement). This page is opened in new unresizable
window without toolbars etc. And editors don't want this
page to be avaliable throughout the search engine.

images.
2. Forms - sorry, but why they don't need to be accessed via
search? Format this form to provide two mode - first, for
simple view (from direct link or from search) and second - for
dialog mode - to open as dialog window.
And, of course, you can use not article for this task, but
custom object. It should be used for such problems. It has no
content (but can include articles) and ability to use XSLT for
displaying. Like index page.
