This morning's 0.17.2+ development snapshot is up: http://armedbear.org/j.zip (source) http://armedbear.org/j-jar.zip (just j.jar) This snapshot puts in place the last two pieces of the openFile completion list puzzle. 1. If you like the way URL completions work in Mozilla, you can now set the following preference in ~/.j/prefs: selectCompletion = true When selectCompletion is true, the completion part of the text in the textfield (as opposed to what was there before you hit Tab) is automatically selected, so you can replace it by typing any character, without having to hit Escape first. (If you want to accept it and keep on going, you need to hit End or right arrow first.) For now, at least, selectCompletion defaults to false. 2. Filename completions now work like most other things in j with respect to the issue of case sensitivity, to wit: If the string to be completed contains no uppercase letters (i.e. it's lowercase-only, or a mixture of lowercase and non-alphabetic characters), completions ignore case. If the string to be completed contains one or more uppercase letters, completions are case-sensitive. Thanks for your support. -Peter |
