I identified r11472 as the commit which breaks 4 DEFMACRO tests. Possibly that's the cause of SLIME being broken? I'll revert r11472 anyway: I want to work out why it broke the defmacro tests, but not necessarily with the code in the trunk. Bye, Erik. |

Even with this reversion, I am still getting errors trying to compile 'swank.lisp': ;; Error while loading: /Users/evenson/.slime/fasl/2008-11-02/armedbear-0.13.0-dev-darwin-unknown/swank.abcl ;; Condition: The value STREAM is not of type (MEMBER VECTOR STRING FIXNUM HASH-TABLE CONS CHARACTER SYMBOL). ;; Aborting. ;; But that is not very precise: I am working on trying to refine what causes the error. Part of the problem here, is that SLIME HEAD seems to be unstable right now as well, so I had to go back to a known good SLIME. More when I get a more precise idea of what is going on with SLIME… Did anybody have patches to make the ABCL 0.12.0 Unicode streams work with SLIME? We should probably get that submitted as well. -- "A screaming comes across the sky. It has happened before, but there is nothing to compare to it now." |

SLIME HEAD works as of 2008-12-25, but you probably need to include the 'slime-repl' contrib in your '.emacs' initialization code that invokes SLIME-REPL: ;... (slime-setup '(slime-repl slime-asdf slime-fancy slime-banner))) ;... Otherwise, the elisp side of Emacs barfs up "Symbol's function definition is void: defslime-repl-shortcut". -- "A screaming comes across the sky.
