Today's development snapshot (j 0.20.1.16, lisp 0.0.2.12) is up:
http://armedbear.org/j-jar.zip (just j.jar)
This snapshot is really 0.20.1.16; yesterday's snapshot, advertised in
a fit of typographical exuberance as 0.20.1.16, was really 0.20.1.15.
By request, you can now add the following line to ~/.j/prefs to disable
the recent behavioral change that makes the caret, by default, stay in
the edit window when you scroll vertically:
scrollCaret = false
As mentioned, the scrollCaret preference is true by default.
Today's snapshot also fixes a couple of long-standing bugs that caused
index-out-of-bounds-related crashes in shell buffers, including Lisp
shells. The easiest way to trigger these bugs was to move the caret
back into the prompt area and delete a few characters of the prompt
string, then hit Enter. Of course, it doesn't make much sense to do
this, so in practice these bugs were most commonly triggered by cats
walking on the keyboard, but they're fixed now in any case.
Finally, JLisp now extends LispShell, as it obviously should, rather
than CommandInterpreter, so Alt X "jlisp" now works like a normal Lisp
shell. This fixes a certain amount of mysterious misbehavior in jlisp
shells in previous versions.
This snapshot is a release candidate for 0.20.2.
Thanks for your support.
