attached below is a patch to ARMBoot (current CVS version) that adds
support for the ARM920T Core; it was implemented and tested on a
Samsung SMDK2400 Eval Board.
Ummm... may I suggest to add a file "MAINTAINERS" to the tree
(similar to what we did in PPCBoot?). If you do so, please add the

Thanks for the patch. Following are some comments.
I like to keep the sources as "linux-free" as possible. Thus, for
instance, I dislike to just copy files from include/asm-arm over to
include/asm in armboot. Especially if they contain large #ifdef
For example, the armboot/include/asm/types.h effectively adds nothing,
as all the types are within #ifdef __KERNEL__. So that is probably not
required. I'd also rather not have asm/posix_types.h and
So, to be able to use Linux code largely unmodified, there is
include/types.h, which pretty much randomly defines types used by
Also, "samsung" seems to me not very uniqe. Can you please provide a
I checked in everything for the board and the general ARM9 cpu support
and left out the linux header files. It compiles fine over here. I'm
compiling with the Elinos tool chain. Can you please check it works
for you to? If not, we need to find out which header might creep in
