Sometimes, a server will lose contact with all connected
clients. They all time out. Plus, the client's firewalls
sometimes report receiving strange packets from the
server. See

I think this was related to what happened when a socket
broke and had to be reopened. The old socket ID ( now
assigned to a new socket ) would still be used to send data
to the clients, which of course won't work.
The reworked low level networking system should have
    fixed this.
