ARK: SURVIVAL EVOLVED EDITING
- First, you want to navigate to the folder in which the you will find GameUserSettings.ini. For singleplayer, it should be (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common)ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor. For multiplayer, it should be found at (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common)ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsServer. The parentheses are around the steam game directory, which will be on different places. For some people, it is found in C:\Program Files\ instead of C:\Program Files (x86).

- Then you want to open this in the text editor of your choice(I personally use Notepad++).
- Now, you want to find the options you want to change, or, if they're not there, you want to make them.
Here are a few of them:
Taming Multiplier: TamingSpeedMultiplier
XP Multiplier: XPMultiplier
Harvest Multiplier: HarvestAmountMultiplier
- Now you want to set the values.
If they are already listed, you just change the number that is listed.
EX: TamingSpeedMultiplier=3.000000 --> TamingSpeedMultiplier=25.000000
If they are not listed, you want to make them in the same format as shown above.
EX: TamingSpeedMultiplier=25.000000
EX: XPMultiplier=50.000000

- Now save the document(obviously)
- Now, for singleplayer(I'm not sure about multiplayer), you want to make this ini read only so that the game won't reset the vaules to 3.0. To do this, right click GameUserSettings.ini, click properties, and check the box that says Read-Only.

- Ta-da! You're done.
Increasing Level Cap(Program Usage)
- Now, this is where the program comes into play. You want to open the ArkLevelCapINI.exe program that is provided.
- Then it will ask for the level cap you want.

- Just enter in all of the data it asks for, then it should close automatically and generate a Game.ini

The Game.ini file should look something like this:

- Now, you definitely want to go to this website to proofread, make some editing(as you choose, and smooth out the first 10th of your leveling.
The first tenth of your level cap will be really close together, so you might want to space the xp required for each level out. The XP listed after the = is the total XP; not the XP after the XP required for the previous level.
- Now you want to put this Game.ini into the same folder you were in that is listed in the taming/xp tutorial (ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor for SP; ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsServer for MP), and it should work.
Make sure to check your formatting across from the other website I listed (here).
If this doesn't work, please submit a ticket with your game.ini file listed in a pastebin.
Thanks for reading.
