Normally the view is bound to the character, but sometimes there are situation where it would be nice to have an unbound view. For example at the deathmatch ring: Spectators cannot see the whole ring, it would be better when the view was centered to the deatchmatch area then. Also if magic is implemented some more this may be helpful: A "magical view" may show you different places. Maybe some orbs will do this then. But for this an independent view is necessary. What about this idea? :) - Storyteller ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Kimmo Rundelin (kiheru) Date: 2010-08-03 11:11 Message: I think this would be fairly simple to do, as long as the view is on the same map as the player; the view would return to normal as soon as the player moves. How would the special view be triggered? There needs to be a way for the player to trigger it, and it needs to be available only at certain places (or with certain magical items/spells). Some usable item at the DM are wall perhaps, but what would make sense? I guess it would be possible to scatter some scrying orbs around the arena. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=351111&aid=3034316&group_id=1111 |
