right now i think doing so would be considered a cheat, well, unless the the same area is stretched to cover the screen instead of allowing you to see more. And stretching the screen might(?) be considered messy/bad.
Currently it isn't really practical to draw the map in fullscreen.
The larger the screen resolution, the more memory.
Here's some stats assuming the client takes about 10% CPU to do the current rendering and 128 MBs, as well as there being a correlation between the rendered area and the CPU/memory usage:
For 1280x1024s screens:
The CPU would reach around 42.7%.
The memory usage would probably reach 546.133 MBs.
Thus the reason why we can hardly go any larger then it is not, let alone fullscreen.
Umm, no, that's not really correct.
Memory usage will be exactly the same, although it will be slower because you will need to draw all the screen ( more tiles ).
Also, the main problem that I see are the dialogs that appears like set outfit that won't work really well in full screen, but it is something that definitively I would like to see on the future.
