two features i found missing in Aria Maestosa is that bass tablature is missing - and perhaps other instruments as well (like shamisen, that only has 3 strings), and also 7-string guitars and 5-string basses exists as well

when we import a .midi file, it gets arranged in a horizontal arrangement (like all notes in just one string) - would be great if we could have a vertical optimization (like focusing between the frets 5 and 9, or depending on the notes in the track)

Hi, Aria does have bass tablature (and you can even create custom tablature types). Simply click in the grey area at the very left of the tablature editor and select "bass".

As for vertical optimisation, there is a limited feature that does this, in the same menu (click in the left of the tab editor) there is "Rearrange selected notes" which will attempt to improve layout. Note, however, that the computer will not do a perfect job and cannot do it as well as a human might at the moment.

thanks, i didn’t know that about the grey area at all! :)

about vertical optiization, "Rearrange selected notes" didn’t work (i don’t know why) - anyway, would be interesting also a way to arrange them manually (like adding or substracting 5 frets when we move notes a string above or below, like with some pressed key simultaneously, or something like)

"Rearrange selected notes" is mostly useful after importing a midi file that contained no tablature data at all and it's all jumbled.

As for "adding or substracting 5 frets when we move notes a string above or below", it does exist, try "shift + up" and "shift + down" on the keyboard with a note selected
