I have one problem when I run aria2c in windows console.I like to download one torrent file and if I put this command in console the download is working fine
if I stop this torrent and won't to run this torrent from local file I always have the error message.I know that I'am put the wrong command, but I cant find the correct one.I'am try with this command:
aria2c -T Underworld.Rise.Of.The.Lycans[xRipp3rx]SCR.4717958.TPB.torrent
aria2c -T C:\aria2\Underworld.Rise.Of.The.Lycans[xRipp3rx]SCR.4717958.TPB.torrent
both option don't work.
Can you please answer me how I can run or resume this torrent file from my local directory :)
I really like this client, but after one week when Tatsuhiro is update this version the windows version still not avalible.
@Ant Bryan,I don't mean to push anyone,so I hope that you don't understand me wrong. To compile it myself, this is joke ;)maybae in my next life.I know that is a hard work even for programmers.
In version 1.0 the local torrent file is not working,so I can't waith for this latest version, because I can't seed some torrents and also download some private torrents.
Now version 1.2 is avalible for windows too and I like to thanx "rossta" for his great work!
So far the local torrent files work without any problems!
I know what you mean, I'd have trouble compiling it on windows.
Ross is very nice to put his time into taking care of it for us. a good number of people download & use it on win.
sorry but it will be difficult to test your torrent, it is the torrent name which can not help us grin !
please find a better "clever torrent name" uh uh uh uh uh uh !
o.k,I'am find something shorter :)
I'am also try with this torrent. Can you look this picture:
i also prefer to find onto
I'am start aria2c with this command
working fine, but then I exit aria and try to run it again from torrent file and I have the same error again.I'am use the same command
aria2c -T "C:\aria2\Velvet-Finally [mininova].torrent"
aria2c "C:\aria2\Velvet-Finally [mininova].torrent"
and I have the error like is in the picture. What I'am doing wrong?
> What I'am doing wrong?
to ask us to test WAREZ TORRENTS, is it clear no ?
I'am understand and I'am sorry about this post, but I can't find another way to tell you about my problem.
I'am just ask you for help(not testing) about command in windows console how I can add to aria2c torrent file from local disk and then run aria2c,because last night I'am read all posible command and I try it,but no go.I have no problem do download torrent from url,but with local torrent file.
I know that is no such problem for you gurus to tell me this, but if you can't tell me I will understand .I'am just a regular user and I like to use this client,I need only a little help.
thank you for all your help!
> aria2c -T "C:\aria2\Velvet-Finally [mininova].torrent"
> aria2c "C:\aria2\Velvet-Finally [mininova].torrent"
I think either command should work.
Could you try following things?:
If file length is the same, then:
2. aria2 might confused the path name. Try this: rename .torrent file, say, foo.torrent and place the same directory of aria2c and run 'aria2c foo.torrent'
First, thx for your answer!I'am check the file lenght of both torrent and the size is the same, but none of this command work.
This is really strange, becouse work fine from url link, but somehow fail with local torrent file.I'am also rename the torrent file and when I run it the error appear again.Last night I'am try all posible options and I can't add local torrent file.
you can see about error in this pictures:
Hmm, .torrent file is fine. There is a possibility for C++ stdlib implementation difference between win32 and linux.
Could you try another torrent? Did aria2 fail to load all local torrents?
For workaround, always use torrent via network. You can resume download in this way too.
I can't seem to download torrents either w/ 1.1.2 on win. 27920 is ALMOST the size of the torrent (28147).

Almost so far aria fail in all local torrents, but I'am find one and this one work just fine. You will probably know why is that
torrent file: http://tinyurl.com/ceqrcp
and here is the pic
that torrent works for me as well. is it the size of the torrent that's causing the failure?
this torrent is quite small.
same problem in 1.2.0 beta.
looks like it's a problem w/ local torrents. the same torrent works when you give aria2 the URL.
aria2c -T ubuntu-8.10-alternate-amd64.iso.torrent
>t-tujikawa< If you need a beta tester for your new win32 version you can send it to me.
you can find 1.2.0 win32 beta at https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=159897
also I have one question if this be posible to made. The most easy option for local file will be if we can pick torrent file and drag and drop it to aria2c.exe :)
actually aria2c is a commandline software
On *Unix systems, no problem.
On Win32, disaster.
I think I found the cause of the problem. When opening .torrent file, aria2 opens it as text thus standard library has magic to translate \r\n to \n or something because it assumes(and it is toled to) the file is text.
I created a patch to open file in binary mode. I'll post the patch to https://sourceforge.net/support/tracker.php?aid=2593618
I think it worked ll with 1.1 ;)
PLese continue the thread on the bug report now ;)
