Rationale©, commercial software from Austhink (www.austhink.com) is, my humble opinion, the leader in argument mapping.
Argumentative can now import the more recent *.rtnl file formats (file versions 130.54 and 120.53). Austhink has excellent examples on their Wiki (http://wiki.austhink.com).
Argumentative has an export to Rationale’s (*.rtnl) 1.09 format. The exported file is in Reasoning mode and all Helper elements are taken across as Reasons.
You can use copy and paste to import Rationale elements to Argumentative.
Your old *.re3 files from Reason!able© may now be transferred to Rationale©.
Argumentative is open source Argument Mapping software. It allows you to view and manipulate the structure of an argument in terms of a main premise and a hierarchy of reasons and objections.
