What is the best strategy for controlling Newtonian secondary mirror heaters? Mine is the shaped PCB type that fixes directly to the rear of the mirror cell and there isn't much room for a temperature probe, at least not the big ungainly waterproof DS18B20. I could possibly fit aTO-92 style DS18B20 to the side of the cell opposite the PCB. Or do people tend to just run secondary mirror heaters on channel 3, either slaved to something else like the dew heater or in manual mode at an experimentally determined low power?

      Hi Adrian
An interesting question, but one I cannot answer. I have never owned a Newtonian, so I cannot really offer any advice for this. It is my hope thatsomeone who knows will assist you.

      Regards
      Robert
