    Hi
Thanks for the very impressive effort you have put into making the dew controller available to everyone.
It appears that there is a serious error with the PCB for the dew controller 3 (Rev 2 28 May 2017).
The connectors J17 and J21 have their pins reversed, i.e.the + is shown in the overlay next to the negative pin of the connectors.
As a result the wiring is reversed and as currently layed out, when Q4 switches on, the 12V rail will be shorted. This is also reflected in the schematic.

I'll check it straight away, thanks for pointing this out.
I'm not sure why it hasnt been pointed oiut before since a number of people havereported making the latest pcb
    cheers

Yes the track that goes from J1 FAN+ to D5 shouldve gone to the other side of D5. and the silk screen for the + on J21/J17 DS3 shouldve been on the otherside.
I have updated to Rev4, posted to Ailser and will update here
    Thanks
    Robert

D3 and D4 are wrong also, they need to be reversed in Rev02, Rev03 and Rev04.

    We now have Rev05 posted

    Thanks for the quick update.
    Missed D3 and D4.
D4 has not been reversed in version 5, only D3. :)

Dear all I would like to share with all you the pcb I have designed with Fritzing. The export to Gerber is very easy.
    Thanks Bob for your work

    Hi Mario

Please understand that there are very serious issues with generating Gerber files from Fritzing files. These are well documented on the Fritzing site.

You can export to Gerber BUT
    - the gerber files are incorrect and cannot be submitted to cheaper PCB (like EDA, AllPCB, Seed etc) sites without first being edited by hand in a test editor. Trying to upload the gerber files will generate an error in the board on these sites.

We are all waiting for the next release of Fritzing to address these issues with Gerber files produced by Fritzing.

    Regards
    R

Mmm, ok with that but I had my pcbs for myFocuser through Seed with Gerber files produced with Fritzing without problem. Ok I will delete the attachment, meanwhile I will try to produce an Eagle one.
    Cheers.

    Hi Mario
I am surpised Seed produces it fine. I can see the errors when I generate the gerbers. Its possible to hand edit the files if one knows they are doing. Other PCB sites will not accept the files at all.
We already have Eagle PCB, this was done some time back

    Regards
    Robert

The problems I had in the past were more related to bugs in Fritizing than to the production itself.
I don´t know why but Fritzing has the dangerous tendency to add ratnest lines everywhere which are not consistent with the schematic, and so many times I had to review the pcbs and schematics to discover false wires.
    Cheers.
