There is a L298P shield where the nano can just plug into it. It looks like that could be used to create a very stripped down and compact version of a controller. I am planning to use your info for a controller for a moonlite stepper that came with my focuser. Would the L298P be interchangeable with the L293D version of your design or would there need to be code changes?

P.S. I built the myfocuserpro 2 and have been using it with the NEMA 17. Works great. The used moonlite focuser I bought came with the moonlite stepper so I am planning to try to use it. Thanks

    Hi Mark
There seems to be little consistenancy between L298P variants, especially in terms of what pins are used. So its really hard getting the L298P going which is why I have not done firmware for it.

Yes code changes would be required, what those would be I cant give you much direction on this. I am not in a position to support the L298P board. There was another user who tried, their discussion is on the myfocuserpro2 site - you might try looking thtough those discussions?

    Regards
    Robert
