Is it possible to build the focuser using CNC Shield v3 with A4988 driver for hardware ?
The A4988 is mentioned in the doc, but not the CNC shield...

That is overkill to use CNC sheild as only one driver is required., not 4.
Also CNC sheild uses specific pins which means a new schematic and other changes,
Its just cheaper to use a drv8825 or easydriver or l9110s etc with a nano

But there is major issue with the CNC shield using all available IO pins so nothing is left for temperature probe or rotary encoder or Bluetooth etc,
Also cannot add LCD and push buttons.

If you dont like soldering etc, then a UNO with a L293D shield is way simpler.

you´re right. I'll go for the L293D shield. Was just asking because I had a CNC left over.
