    Dear all,

First of all, thanks for that great project.

I have used the PCB REV4 DRV8825-HW203 with buttons, IR, leds and Bluetooth.
    The firmware installed is Focuserv176_DRV8825_HW203_IR.ino

Finally, I have finished the focuser and in general all seems to work ok but I have a problem with temp probe.
It shows a value multiply by 1000. For example, 26000 degrees. If I don't connect the temp probe to arduino the default value should be 20 but the program shows 20000.
Another small problem I have found in my project is with the blue and green led. They light when the focuser moves but with a very low bright, but when in the startup moment, when I connect the Arduino with the USB to the PC, they bright normal for and instant. I have tested the voltage and is very low (millivolts). Finally, have put a bride to avoid the resistant, that way I can see the leds (only a little bit).
I don't know what is wrong.

I attach some pictures of my project.
Now I am analyzing how to insulate the motor vibration to the tube, that produces a quite noise.

    Thanks for all,

    Regards,

    Hi
    1. The LEDs
These are driven whenever the motor is pulsed. As the pulse to the motor is i n MicroSeconds then the LED is not lit up for long. Speed also has an effect. At faster speeds you have more pulses per second thus more time that LED is pulsed, hence brighter.
    Slower speed = less bright.
Sorry, nothing I can do to make them brighter. I do not recommended making the stepper pulses longer as this gives rise to other issues.

    1. Temperature. You do not say what application/client you are using to get a value of 1000. Is this on the display? Or the Windows app? Or someother program?
To help you address this I would need more information.

    regards
    Robert

    Hello Robert,

Thanks for your answer and for this great project.

I am using the Windows app myFocusserProL_1_0_3_3 to see the temp value. I attach the screenshot.

Don’t worry for led bright, I was only asking you for if have anything wrong in my circuit. After put bridge to void the led resistor, the bright have increased and is enough to see in the dark. Perhaps more can be annoying in the night.

    Regards,

Can you please tell what what your windows locale setting is
    Mine is set to ENG-US
Search for regiom on your search bar
    Select change
and the top wil lsay what it currently is

I suspect it has something to do with you your region and currency settings for display . and ,
Its possible it is interpreting the 20.000 as 20000

If I know what you ser setting is I can try and replicate it here

    Thanks Robert,

In Spain we use the "," as decimal separator and "." for thousands.

Now in am not in the PC that I have used but by defect is the default for Spain. I attach the screenshot for another PC. This night i will check with the other.

    Regards,
