    Hi!

If I adjust the Arduino code accordingly, then it is also possible to use the WeMos D1 Mini ESP 8266EX instead of the Nano?

I am concerned only since this project with Arduinos, therefore this question;)

Should ever be possible, and then one has WiFi also on board, and at the same time more space for possible code extensions.

the WeMos D1 is also faster, there I also immediately thought the control of the mount likewise to integrate.

At the circuit / code for the control of the mount with the WeMos I just work ...

    Hi,
Very interesting question. The WeMos D1 documentation clains it is compatible with arduino, so maybe you can easily use Robert's code on it.

    Hi
We have already had the code running on the ESP8266, acting as a straight-through pass to an existing arduino controller. There should be no issues running the code as long as certain portions are changed (obviously the pins are not the same and there is a limitation of available pins for IO).

There is always going to be a lag with Wifi - at times I found this highly annoying, it is obvious when focusing.

The Wifi project running on the ESP8266 may still be on here somwhere but all development work ceased some time ago.

    Cheers
    Robert

    Hi

now i found a modul i order - and this can WiFi and BT on the same chip. after receiving the modul i would try to put your code on it ...

this modul has a lot more of available pins for IO as the first i ask

    Hi!

so far i can see, it is possible to change the source to run it on the ESP-32 WROOM.

Further advantage, if you use the Focuser and the dewcontroller on the same, you can use the same tempprob for both :D

Next step i try to take the sources from focuser, SQM, dewcontroller and EQDirect WiFi on one single ESP-32 WROOM ...

And no i am not crazy ;)
