Is it possible to have a version of the Android app that supports serial communications over OTG cable? This would eliminate the need for BT. My focuser is powered with 5V from an USB cable. But I need to connect it to a PC, and that's an overkill if I only want to have a visual session and simply focus in and out. It would be so much easier if I only need to carry my Android phone and use the OTG cable to power and control my focuser.
Thanks,
Nick
Ok, understood. Yes it is possible. No time frame though. Already have some things in the pipeline though
1. ascom driver langauge support for myfocuserpro2
2. myfocuserpro2e tcpip
3. myfocuserpro bt app
4. mygps updates
regards
Robert

OK, thanks. Whenever you have a chance. I think this is the best open source project out there. Thanks for all your hard work.
Hi Robert,
I see a new folder called Android OTG app, but it only contains a text file. https://sourceforge.net/projects/arduinoascomfocuserpro2diy/files/Android%20OTG%20App/
Where can we find the app?
Thanks,
Nick
Hi Nick
Its on hold. All the serial libraries I have found (android) do not work properly or have issues so work on this has stopped for a while.
