I have read all the former topics, and now I have tried:
1. Build 5 pcs on boardS M-MT-F-BT, DRV8825-HW203, myFocuserPro2, 2017, Rev11, as recommended ind the pdfdoc Applies to firmware 325+ pg. 28. and following schematic revision 11 march 2020.
2. On an completly new computer with Aduino ver 2.1.0 I first used "myfocuser Clear EEPROM", and waited for it to finish. Then installed "myFP2_DRV8825_325".
3. Everything resetted to normal pos 5000 max10000, pbstep 1. Fine
4. Then I moved with pushbutton to 6000, and shut off after 60 sek. When on again, it has still at the pos. as 6000. Fine.
5. Now I moved to 7000, shut off after 60 sek, happy as I was, BUT when on again it was again on 6000, and it remained there on every restart from then. NOT FINE
6. It is the same on all 5 pcs.
7. IT DOES NOT STORE THE POS. IN EEPROM.
What am I dooing wrong.

Now I have tryed with the solderless_325 (there is no pushbuttons) and make a log. As long the controller is powered it remember the positioin, but as soon the power have shut off, it is resetting the position to 5000.
So I have sendt you another log includinng a power of at 5/29/2023 9:59:36 AM, and after that you can se the position is again 5000.
Hi Erik
Its taken all day and well into the night/morning for me to break it - but I have definately broken it now. That is my way of saying I can reproduce your issue.
I will look at why this happens in detail later today my time.

I am impressed of your effort, what said your wife?? Mine is shouting at me when i am pussiling with your focusers, the lawn have to be cut, the car have to be washed, the dog to be walked and so on. Have no hurry, my goal is to use the focusers at april next year at the solar eclipse from Mexico. Last time i Wyoming I did not thinked about the temperature, witch falled about 7 dg. c. during the maximum, So I will reilye on your focusers this time.
Again thanks for your great and well documented project.

Hi Erik
Well I do have some good news and bad news.
The good news
I have identified the issue and know the fix that is required.
The bad news
This issue is rampant across all the fimware for myFP2, myFP2M and myFP2N.
And occurs in every driver board.
So it might take a few days to run all the tests across all driver boards and myFP2xx variants.
So it was very important that you kept on this and raised it. Thanks for the heads up and the info that helped track this down. And to really make a point on this - the bug goes back quite a few version numbers - so suprising that no-one else noticed.
Am retired, so does not matter if my hours of project work and sleep drift around a bit. Easier to work on the projects at night.
regards
Robert
Please send me an email at my g ma il or ya ho o account so I can forward the solderless version to you as a preview

Can you please confitrm that
Then I moved with pushbutton to 6000,
you did the move using hardware push buttons, or you used the Windows form button to move.
It was the hardware pushbutton, but I have now tryed with the windows and with the android with same result.

I am using myFP2_DRV8825_325, and I can not find myFP2_DRV8825_SOLDERLESS_326 on your site.
Shall I try myFP2_DRV8825_SOLDERLESS_325???
