Hello,
Just wanted to relate a number of assumptions I made, which slowed down my progress on MFP2.
First, I read that Indi was not supported on V2, so I was working with the old 1.7 firmware.
Just downloaded the latest and am able to move the focuser and getting position feedback.
I had no idea that one could select MYFP2 from the list in Indi, so I selected the Moonlight focuser.
Played with ports and usb until maximum frustration set in. They were probably fine if I did the first two things above!
Now, my focuser is set at what I think will be focus. The display says zero steps. How do I get the mid-range position value stored without moving the motor? In my case, 18000 out of 36000.

Hi Glen
Connect to the focuser using INDI
On the motor control tab
In absolute position, type 18000
Click the Set button on same line as absolute position

It shows movement when I do that. It was at 4500 steps, and moved to 20000 steps. From 132mm to 142mm.
Had to go loosen the set screws to the motor shaft, bring the focuser back down manually, and re-tighten the set screws.
Thought there would be a better way!?

Hi Glen
my mistake
I believe (since I do not run Linux to control my Focusers)
Sync on the MainControl tab
Enter new value
Click Set
Motor should not move and position should be updated
