now that i got the correct board i am just wondering what this is in the picture and if anything goes in it sorry i am new to electronics and schematics and want to be sure i have done it all correctly see attached picture with the light blue circled item

Nothing. It ismply a via, which connects a track from the top layer to the bottom layer.
