Just updated to latest firmware & Apps, (275 update 1\ 2.4.1.3) and all ok except for the temperature settings. When I un-check the celsius\farenheight box, I get Celcius in the App, the display shows Farenheight with the temperature in Farenheight.
But if I check the celsius\farenheight box, I get Farenheight in the App, bur celsius on the display & teperature in Celsius ???

The display & app now agree, (but not sure if default should be celcius [unchecked ?]) and temperature updates are not happening. Looks like the same with Mini.

When you say temperature updates are not happening please explain in detail what actions you do and what you observe.
What makes you think the updates are not happening? Is it because the temperature value doesnot change or is there some other reason? PC should beep if you have that enabled.
You have set the times etc in the settings form before connecting?
If you look at the status box you will see the update message appear.
Can you enable logging, enable temp updating at 30s, connect to controller, run for several minutes without doing anything and then send logfile.
When you say the mini app is the same you mean? that temp update does not appear to work?
Regards
Robert

My bad, I confirm that the updates are occuring ok, I just had the timing set wrong, as its now buried in extra settings.
One thing I have noticed is that there is no device beep (works on bootup) but will get a PC beep when enabled ? The same also holds true for positional updates, PC beep no device beep, which maybe correct and I'm not understanding things correctly.
As for mini app 2.3.4.0 the display shows Celius when unchecked, i.e. the reverse of full app., but the display shows Farenheight, so it appears to be like the full app, before your latest mods.

Julian Stone

Hi Julian
Minipp 2341 has same code as latet main windows app so should be correct.
The beep that occurs on the controller is to indicate that that the power=on or reset cycle is happning, when that controller beep finishes it means the controller is ready
The PC beep is used for the temperature and position refresh timers. The documentation is clear this is on the PC side. I dont think it makes much sense to have that beep on the controller? as the controller would be out in the observatory and the user snuggled away inside? Having both the PC and the controller beep in this instance I am not sure is ideal.
The buzzer on the controller is also used with the RE and PB hardware, so tht might get a bit confusing to the operator?
And trade off that when the controller is doing a beep it cannot do anything else like respond to a command etc.
Put your case and I will listen

Robert

Ignore the mine temp settings as I see there's a new version which fixes everything, apart from the PC\on-board beeps ??

Nope, that cleared everything up, thank you.
FYI, I only use the apps for testing & manual control, I usually use the ascom driver for auto-focus in SGPro, which works a treat,

Hi Julian
Is it possible to do a screen ap of your sgp auto focus settings and post here? I know a lot of other users would find this very helpful.
Thanks
Robert
Hi Robert,
As requested done, but stupid system won't allow in-line images, or allow me to attach a zip file in original post ???
Julian
Many thanks Julian
