I am in the process of acquiring parts to build a Focuser Pro2. I bought a DRV8825-HW203 Rev12 board and just discovered there is a Rev13. Will the Nextion display work with the Rev12 board or do I need to order a Rev13 board? I can't seem to find that information in the documentation. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for sharing this project.

Ok I follow now. You are referring to the myFocuserPro2M series of boards.
I do not have any previous board information below v13 - this is purely due to a computer crash some months back now and I had to rebuild. A lot of info was lot - my bad not yours.
Does the board have a J14 header on for the HC05 adapter?
This info for the myFP2M boards only (not myFP2 boards)
If so then the only nextion display supported is
ONLY FOR USE WITH NEXTION TFT TOUCH DISPLAY 3.5" 480x320, NX4832K035 ENHANCED DISPLAY
In the Nextion firmware myFP2N_NX4832K035_303 you need to change the pin designations for the header to which Nextion connects -
Changing
The Nextion connects to J12 on a myFP2 board. BUT, for a myFP2M board, the Nextion connects to the J14 header.
The myFP2M boards have a much smaller PCB size than the myFP2 boards.
The myFP2M boards do not support pushbuttons, IR remote, rotary encoder.
The myFP2M boards support Bluetooth, OLED or LCD display and temperature probe.
As a rule, myFP2M boards require the myFP2M firmware.

Yes the Ver13 board was found in the Pro2M directory. The Ver11 board does have a J14 header on it for the HC05 adapter.
So I can use the Nexion display with the Ver11 board, correct? Would there be any advantage to using the Ver13 board?
Is my understanding that the home switch and encoder are not supported with Nexion display correct?
I am beginning to wonder about my ability to figure out what I am doing. I can only imagine what it's like for you to keep up with all of this much less figure out how to do it in the first place. I am very impressed with what you have accomplished.

The nextion display is most suited to remote field work or visual viewing.
For imaging it is best to use a non-display focuser, espcially when you have a remote setup where you are not at the scope.
As you would have seen in the video for the Nextion focuser, it can be a bit fiddly presing with fingers, it is best to use a stylus pen from a tablet or phone.

I was not aware there was a Rev13 or Rev12 board
Where did you get it from?
I made a mistake. The board I have is Ver11. I found the Ver13 here. https://sourceforge.net/projects/arduinoascomfocuserpro2diy/files/myFocuserPro2M/PCB%20and%20Schematic/

Thanks for the info. It will mainly be used for imaging controlled remotely with a laptop and occasional use for visual observation with no laptop.
A stylus is the only way to go.
Thanks again for the help and thanks for sharing this project.
Hi Gary
No problems. Please email me direct at gmail if you need further help on the Nextion.
