Hi
I updated MyFp2_Drv8825 to the latest 336 versions
and I also tried with the 338. I installed the applications
Windows myFPW and myFPW mini. I tried with the last two versions
I OS WIN 11 Pro. I tried reinstalling the CH340 drivers in different ones
versions. I'm using in Nano R3 but I always get the same result:
myFPW cannot establish the connection with the COM serial
the error message I get is ERROR SERIAL PORT TO CONNECT.
Hi
There are myFocuser projects
1. myFocuserPro which is moonlight compatible with minimal features
2. myFocuserPro2 or myFP2 which is the replacement project for myFocuserPro.
If you used a Moonlight application and it connects then the controller is NOT programmed with myFP2 firmware. Because myFP2 is not firmware compatible with moonlight.
More than likely the controller was programmed with the myFPro firmware, which is moonlight compatible. And if that is the case then no wonder the myFP2 applications will not talk to it.
One cannot run any myFPro with anything from myFP2 and vice versa. Even the PCB boards are different.
Suggestions. FIRST
Download each PDF for myFPro and myFP2
Read the pdfs and determine which one is for you.
Next, uninstall from Control panel all the myFxxx apps or drivers.
Reboot computer
Delete all the files of mFPx that you downloaded
Create a folder for your project.
Create sub-folders for "Firmware", "Docs" and "Windows-app"
Download the pdf-firmware-windows-app for the project you will implement and put them into those sub-folders
Unzip any zip files (firmware and Windows app)
Run the installer for the Windows app.
THEN
Connect the controller board.
In file explorer, navigate to your sub-folder for firmware.
Navigate to the Tests folder and then into the ClearEEPROM folder
Double click on the ClearEEPROM.ino file which should load the Arduino IDE
Set the com port and set the speed to 9600
Upload the program into the Controller
Let the program run for about 60 seconds
Exit the Arduino IDE
and which point now you can consier loading the firmware file ino the Arduino IDE, the set options in the config file and then upload to the Controller.
I attach some screenshots of how the Arduino IDE should be configured.

To rule out drive problems (CH340) I tried another application for the
focuser or

and the Windows Moonlight application connects and works fine
Thank you for all the suggestions you want to give me
