Hi, a friend recommended the following board to use instead of the one from the parts list as it makes for a tighter package (all wire connections come off the board vertically instead of sprawling out the sides) and had power built in. Any thoughts as to whether this would be a good or bad idea?

There is already a solderless solution in the PDf which I think is a better alternative
