I am going to change the LCD library that has been used with these projects. The current library LiquidCrystal_I2C1602 is no longer compatible with the latest version of the Arduino IDE.
The above link has all the information you need. What it will mean is that soon future releases of the firmware will use the compatible FMalpartida LCD Library and you may be needed to make some further code changes to the firmware in order to get it to work with your LCD.
The PDF explains all with examples. What it does mean is that we should be able to use the latest version of the Arduino IDE without being locked into always use v1.6.4
