I have searched in vain to find out what the HW203 Firmware variant of the DRV8825 is. Not sure if I should use the plain DRV8825 or the DRV8825HW203. I'm going to use an Arduino UNO and pinout directly from that to the stepper (No PCB interface). I have no extra accessories attached to the arduino.

Thanks for the reply. I was able to find the firmware and upload it. What I wasn't totally sure about was which DRV8825 firmware to upload. I did the plain DRV8825 (because I'm going straight from the Arduino to the stepper driver, no PCB board between) but it seems like most people talk about the HW203 variant. When you say HW203 is the "board" type, I can't seem to find that board. I'm not sure what that means. Is that the PCB interface between the Arduino and the components. Thanks again! Just want to make sure I use the correct firmware.

There was an original design called myFocuserPro. This was compatibe with moonlite drivers.
That sorta used breadboards and etched pcb layout
i then redid the stripboards and made gerber files for the new PCBS

I then rethought things and decided to start a new enhanced version with a lot more features
    That was this project myFocuserPro2.

(and I did another rethink and ported all of myFocuserPro2 to an even newer project myFP2ESP which is a wifi enabled version.)

When redesigning the pcbs, I realized that my making some changes to the existing DRV8825 board, I could achieve a better layout of tracks, but would mean the same firmware file could not be used, So I called this myFocuserPro2-DRV8825-HW203. I give little information now on the DRV8825 board because the recommendation is to use DRV8825HW203 instead.

    This document may help (attached)

    Cheers
    Robert

Thanks. That totally clears it up. Thanks for designing this and providing the support. Much appreciated. Contribution sent your way; wasn't much for the amount of time you put into this project...
