The error has been corrected today 15th March 2019. The board marked rev10 is not affected by this reported error.
Boards marked Rev8 or Rev9 are affected. Do NOT use.

Hello Robert,
I found a dangerous error on the DRV8825 Rotary Encoder Printed Board. there are a short circuit on the 5V line that burns immediately the Nano with smoke.
In particular the trace from RESET/SLEEP of 8825 to the VCC of the Encoder is connected also with the GND side of C6.

If you the the RE rev8 or Rev9 board, you can make the following changes on the underside of the board. X means cut track, the red line means solder a new wire between those two points.
Do not use the Rev8/9 board without this modification. the corrections have already been done on the new Aisler PCB rev10/11.
