Now, I may be more used to Github where I can simply click a button and selected "Download Zip" to get an entire fileset as a zip file, or I can click and get a single https reference I can use with Git or provide to GitExtensions...
but how on earth do you use SourceForge to download the entire current fileset? I do not want to download everything one file at a time. The Download button is only giving me a single PDF, and it doesn't matter if I am in Summary or Files tabs. Both give me the myFP2-319.pdf file only.
I've spent an hour clicking around in the whole SourceForge UI and I cannot find anything that gives me any hints as a method to obtain all the files in a project - am I blind? Or is it just that SourceForge has the worst possible UI of any online code repository and it is surprising it hasn't died already given the better options available?
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
try clicking on Files and then the sub-folders
try reading the PDF page 16
There are just as many people who hate GitHub as those that don't. I do not provide one super.zip to download. I would have thought that was obvious?
I gave up on Github.
Git hub does not, and I stress NOT, handle large projects like this. Been there, done that. Aint going back. Whilst it might be good for 1 source file, try adding all the other folders and lots of different file types, not just source code, and see how Github handles that.
The entire myfp2 zipped is 1.62GB with 7,601 files and 1,930 folders Whilst we might be privledges to have fast broadband on Fibre, many still do not. Most users would find "everything" very over-whelming.
Hey I'm not having a go at you dude, I just can't figure out the SourceForge UI, I'm astonished that I cannot pick a project or even one of those subfolders and get all the stuff in it with a single action via the service interface. I appreciate the effort going into a project like this from creators like yourself.
