    Hi,
I am new to this, but I was able to follow the directions and build a full Uno focuser with L293D shield. Thanks for a great project! Here is my problem. The first time I plugged my board into my computer the focuser appeated to work fine. After a while I got a message that the USB board was not recognized by Windows 10 (code 43). I unistalled the driver, and plugged the uno into the USB holding down the reset button on the uno. Windows again did not recongize the board, but a com port was created. I was able to use the com port to controll the focuser for a couple of hours. Now when I plug the board in, it connects to the port, but the focuser app throws an error "Controller did not respond to request for firmware version". I reload edthe firmware, but I still get the error. Here is my info

    Windows 10
    Uno board with L293D shield
    Firmware 172

    Any thoughts?

I need the error log file created by the focuser app, showing how you tried to connect but failed.

I dont understand why you would want to hold down the reset button when connecting?

    Firmware 172?
    That is for myfocuserpro.
This is the site for myfocuserpro2.
You cannot mix and match v1 with v2
If you are running firmware 172 then you should be using this windows app
