Hi all. I built a simple focuser a few months ago using an UNO and CNC shield. It works great. I don't have the temp probe or any other features, just bare bones. I have never had a problem connecting to POTH and then to APT but recently I started using sharpcap to focus. I connect to the focuser unsing POTH but then when I try to connect the focuser in APT, it will not connect. I have to shut down sharpcap, poth and apt and start apt again. Is this a driver issue? I have the same problem with my older iOptron mount but that is a known acsom driver issue.

So the only new thing is Sharpcap right?

If APT is connecting to POTH then probably not. Can you enable logging in POTH and the ASCOM driver to get logfiles?

Personally I am not a fan of multiple clients connecting to a focuser.
Is there a reason you cannot autofocus in APT?

APT does not have very good live imaging. The resolution is not great and the zoom is very limited. I get much better results in Sharpcap. I can live with the issue, just not sure I was doing something wrong. Next time I am out I'll try logging with POTH. Will have to look up how to do that. BTW, my step brother got a focuser from you recently and he loves it :)
