It already supports buttons.
and a rotary encoder
and an infra-red controller.

I looked at the documentation, I added the IFR option. But on the solderless version, I did not see where to connect the buttons.

I misunderstood that this was for the solderless version.

I strongly advise not to add pushbuttons. You are better served using the IR option.
