I just upgraded the firmware from v270 to v295 on my Arduino-based DRV8825HW203 focuser, and am now seeing strange behavior.
The Windows app (2.4.4.5) successfully connects and controls the focuser, but once I disconnect the app, wait 30 seconds, then unplug the USB cable from the Nano, it seems that it's loosing the focuser Position. Because when I plug the cable back in, reconnect the Windows app, the values are reset: Position=5000 and Max Steps=10000.
If I don't unplug the cable (just disconnect the Windows app), the Position is saved.
Is this expected behavior?

Recommendations.
Run the ClearEEPROM program (see firmware zip file, tests/FocuserUti;Programs)
the repogram the controller
Use control panel to remove windows app
then run the setup program to reinstall it
