Do you you think it's possible to use or adapt it with the right stepper motor.
The BED can handle 2A bipolar stepper motors.
If I look at the schematic there is a lot of common points and it share the same original chip A4988.

No, not really. I think there is no need to use motors with 2A. And the pdf does say that the driver BED needs a heat sink if running with 2A motors.
In a lot of rotators it may be possible to use a simpler 5V motor running off USB.
I'm sorry to say that time and effort (which is in short supply) are just not there to implement that further

Just found an old Brian Schmaltz PCB : Big Easy Driver from https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12859 in my garage.

The PCBs will be manufactured in January (5)
